🌧️ Our parks have seen a lot of rain lately, and we need your help to keep ball fields ready for spring play. Walking or playing on wet fields can cause ruts, damage, and unsafe surfaces that take time and resources to repair. Giving them time to dry helps us keep them safe, level, and game-ready.

If you see standing water on the fields, they are too wet for use. Thanks for helping us protect the fields to keep them in great shape for everyone!

A controlled burn will close a section of the Pike River Pathway on Tuesday, April 7.

🚨 A prescribed burn is taking place Tuesday, April 7, along the Pike River between STH 20/Washington Avenue & STH 11/Durand Avenue. Public safety is our primary concern. While the burn is taking place, Phases 4 & 5 in that area of the Pike River Pathway will be closed.

The burn reduces wildfire risks, stimulates native vegetation growth, and clears invasive plants that would otherwise threaten native plants & wildflowers that insects, birds, and other wildlife depend on. Village Police, Fire, and Engineering Departments will ensure the burn meets those ecological goals and minimizes risks to public health and safety.
