Harts Bluff ISD is proud to recognize and congratulate our own Dr. Bobby G. Rice for being selected as the Region 8 Education Service Center’s Superintendent of the Year!
Over the years, the Texas Association of School Boards Superintendent of the Year award program has honored outstanding Texas administrators for achievement and excellence in public school administration. Candidates are chosen for their strong leadership skills, dedication to improving the quality of education, commitment to public support and involvement, and ability to build positive relationships among teachers, staff, and the community.
Each year, local school boards across the 20 education service centers in Texas have the opportunity to nominate their superintendent for this honor. Region 8 Education Service Center serves 48 local districts, and nominees are interviewed by a panel of local school board members from across the region.
Dr. Rice will now represent Region 8 in the 2026 Texas Superintendent of the Year state competition, with regional winners traveling to Austin later this summer for the next round of interviews.
This is Dr. Rice’s ninth year as Superintendent of Harts Bluff ISD, and we could not be more proud of his leadership, dedication, and commitment to our students, staff, families, and community.
Congratulations, Dr. Rice!
