What an inspiring day at MPHS! We were thrilled to welcome acclaimed author Sandra Cisneros for a special conversation and student panel in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month!

A huge shoutout to our student panelists, who formulated their own questions and conducted the interview bilingually in Spanish and English.

From exploring The House on Mango Street to discussing culture, identity, and writing, their leadership made this event truly special. A heartfelt thank you to our MPHS English Department for coordinating this event, along with WCMU Public Media and CMU for helping bring this unforgettable experience to our school!
