Recently, Medic 10 - Mount Pleasant EMS responded to the Laurelville Retreat Center for a physical rescue in a creek. This response required multiple resources and critical thinking for a positive outcome.

Today, we received a super sized "Thank You" from the staff, members and the individual herself, who is still recovering.

Each recognition and thank you that our crew members receive, are kept on display to remind our providers of the positive impact that they make each day!

Medic 422, Medic 426 and UTV 421 responded to Laurelville Retreat Center for a physical rescue in a creek.

After an extensive extrication, the individual was transported to a nearby landing zone, where they transported via aeromedical to a trauma center for further treatment.

A great job to all EMS providers, assisting fire departments, water rescue personnel and bystanders who were on scene.

We're getting closer! (Sunday August 9th 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM)

Come help Medic 10 celebrate its 50 years of service to the community.

Medic 10 will be hosting a burger bash, open house, health and human service vendors, car seat checks performed by the Pennsylvania State Police, gift raffles and Suzy's Frozen Custard. Burgers and pasta salad will be provided by Espey's Meat Market!

Glad we could offer a helping hand to a neighboring department! Congratulations to Norvelt / Westmoreland Homesteads VFD for putting the community first!

The members of the Norvelt VFD are proud announce that our Rescue has officially been licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a QRS (Quick Response Service). We will now assist in answering EMS calls with our Emergency Medical Technicians as needed. The work and time involved to be certified by the State is extensive and consuming. FF/EMT Kimmy Whalen is recognized as the member that took the time to send the emails and paperwork, delegate what needed done, and went through the process to get us to this level start to finish. All members involved in this process worked hard to attain this. This QRS will serve the members of our area to ensure a quick response and acute medical care when it is needed the most. We are here to serve you. Anyone that is a current Pa DOH certified provider and interested in helping out, please feel free to reach out to us.
We would also like to thank EMS West, Mutual Aid EMS, Irwin EMS, and Medic 10 for all of your help with guidance, equipment, and support.
