We don't want to brag, but we have just about the best Friends group ever! A big thank you to all of the FOVML members who work so hard on making their book sale a huge success and for their continued support of Veterans Memorial Library.

From our friends at the Michigan Library Association:
Your library card isn't just a card. It's a shortcut. 💙
-To the book you can't wait to read.
-To the audiobook for your commute.
-To the database that helps you make a smarter purchase.
-To the research you need for work or school.
-To a storytime when everyone needs to get out of the house.
-To a quiet place to think.
-To learning something you've always wanted to learn.
We often tell people what a library card gives them. But the better question is: What could it help you do?
Because people aren't walking around thinking, “I need a library service.”
They're thinking:
-I need to save money.
-I need to figure this out.
-I need something to keep my kids busy.
-I need to learn this.
-I need a good book.
-I need a place to go.
-I need help.
That's where the library comes in. 🎯 A goal. A need. A problem. A little curiosity.
Your library card can be the starting point. If you don't have one, get one. If you have one, it's worth remembering what's behind it.
