Visa Justice Weekly Meeting Invitation

A reminder to everyone that Visa Justice meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM Eastern Time via Zoom.

If you have been affected by immigration marriage fraud, immigration-related abuse, false allegations, financial exploitation, or other forms of immigration fraud, we invite you to join us.

Our organization is made up of victims, advocates, and former government professionals who are working to bring awareness to these issues and advocate for legislative reform to better protect American citizens.

Whether you are seeking information, support, or would like to become involved in our efforts, we would be happy to have you join us.

We will also be discussing our upcoming trip to Washington, D.C., where we will be meeting with congressional offices and continuing our advocacy efforts on behalf of victims.

Administrators, I highly recommend you require this advisory to every member and to any members wishing to join your groups.

Important Advisory Note:
It has come to my attention that many of you are expressing frustration and anger regarding your immigration situations, particularly relating to divorce and deportation of spouses. I deeply understand your pain, distress, and the urgency you feel. However, it's critical to communicate your concerns appropriately and constructively, as your words can directly impact your case and outcome.
What to Avoid:
Divorce or Fraud Allegations: Do not publicly state your intent to divorce your spouse specifically due to cheating or suspected immigration fraud.
Deportation Threats: Never express a desire or intention to have your spouse deported or removed from the country.
Revenge or Harm: Avoid making any statements indicating you wish to cause emotional, physical, or legal harm to your spouse.
Constructive Actions:
Seek Constructive Help: Clearly communicate that you are looking for support and guidance in handling your immigration and marital issues.
Justice, Not Vengeance: Frame your situation as a quest for justice, focusing on legal solutions rather than punitive measures.
Victim Advocacy: Present yourself factually as a victim of immigration fraud or marital deceit, without resorting to aggressive language.
Positive Storytelling: Share your experiences honestly yet respectfully, steering clear of vindictive or inflammatory language.
Critical Points:
Understand that statements made online, especially on public forums, can be used against you by your spouse or their representatives. These posts can potentially assist your spouse in obtaining protections under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
DHS, USCIS, and ICE officials do not directly deport individuals. They initiate removal proceedings, but only immigration judges can authorize deportation.
Immigration proceedings take significant time; neither DHS nor USCIS controls the scheduling—these are managed by immigration courts under the Department of Justice.
Recommended Strategy:
Focus on collective action and policy advocacy rather than personal vengeance.
Collaborate as a unified group to advocate for policy changes at local, state, and federal levels.
Emphasize reforms in family law to protect victims of immigration fraud and abuse.
Engage constructively with elected officials and policymakers to drive meaningful changes.
Your stories are vital, but how and what you communicate matters immensely. Together, with appropriate communication and collective advocacy, meaningful changes can and will occur.
