Northwest Compass, Inc. When individuals, families, veterans and unaccompanied youth are in housing crisis or find themselves food insecure, where do they turn? Why?

We exist to serve our neighbors in crisis—providing urgently needed services in the areas of housing navigation and support to people facing housing instability and homelessness, emergency food, youth and veterans assistance and more. They turn to Northwest Compass. Our neighbors know that they'll be treated with respect and dignity by dedicated and compassionate professionals in a warm, caring environment. We love our community and we are proud to show our love by helping our neighbors in need navigate through crisis, achieve stability and regain hope!

A mom. Two boys. One door that locks from the inside.
This October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we helped another survivor start over.💜
She didn't just find a place to live. She found a place where her sons can fall asleep without listening for footsteps, where she can breathe out for the first time in a long time.
Leaving takes a courage some will never have to find. Our job at Northwest Compass is to make sure that when someone finds it, there is something real waiting on the other side: a home, a plan, and people who believe her. 🛌📝❤️

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate the 21st birthday of one of our clients in the Youth Housing Program! 🎉
For young people navigating the transition out of homelessness, milestones like birthdays can amplify the pain of what—and who-is missing and bring feelings of isolation and painful realization of being without a support system and people to care about you.
👏to our Youth Department team - Christina and Ashley for organizing a birthday celebration - a small, thoughtful gesture of care that brought so much joy and meaning! 🥹 And did so much more than just celebrate a date. It was incredibly moving and reminded them that they are seen, valued, and cared for.
Huge thanks to the community members that wrote birthday cards!

We recently hosted Voices Mental Health Focus Group organized by United Palatine Coalition and we’re deeply moved by the shared authentic perspectives of our community member. Capturing those acutely personal points of view was truly is a powerful step. The common thread was clear: economic hardship places massive constraints on daily life. From the stressful trade-offs of budgeting to the hidden costs of time and mental energy, navigating these financial pressures and finding real help is a reality for many of us right now. When you connect with community members in a supportive and inclusive environment to discuss the heavy constraints of hidden challenges, it helps to frame the conversation around shared problem-solving rather than just the struggle! It’s also about getting connected, seen, hopeful and build a better community together! 💫
