All are invited to join the Mount Prospect Fire and Mount Prospect Police Departments as we gather to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001. We would like to pay tribute, as a Village, to all of the lives lost and those that were forever changed by the events of that day.

This remembrance ceremony is taking place on Friday, September 11, at 9 am on the Centennial Green outside Village Hall (50 S. Emerson St.).

Never to be forgotten are the families, volunteers, the men and women of the armed forces, and first responders who served so heroically. They will forever remain heroes in our hearts.

Do you have a personal connection or story from the 9/11 attacks? Share your testimonial with us at [email protected].

📣 The Village has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking an experienced development partner for the redevelopment of the Village-owned property at 111 E. Busse Avenue.

Background:
Following a Request for Proposals in May 2025, the Village Board determined that the proposals did not deliver the mix of uses and development components envisioned for this site. The new RFQ approach allows the Village to focus first on selecting a highly qualified partner and then working collaboratively to develop the right project for the site.

What's next?
Following the RFQ process, the Village anticipates identifying a preferred development partner and entering into a predevelopment and/or exclusive negotiation period. That period would include working together to refine the development program and evaluate components like new construction alternatives, potential commercial users, and financing structure.

Statements of Qualifications are due to the Village on September 18.

The Village continues to picture 111 E. Busse Avenue as a transformative mixed-use redevelopment and signature addition to Downtown Mount Prospect with a meaningful for-sale residential component and active, destination-oriented commercial uses.
