Brown County Public Library District We are a full-service Public Library serving all the residents of Brown County, Illinois. The Library began in January 1915 as the Mt. Sterling.

Sterling Public Library serving the residents of the city of Mt. In April 1993 a successful referendum was held creating the Brown County Public Library District making library service available to the entire Brown County community.

Little ones can explore a variety of fun, engaging toys while caregivers connect with one another in a welcoming space. This program is designed for children from birth to 5 years old and their caregivers, but everyone is welcome to join the fun!

☕Free coffee will be available for caregivers.

Enjoy reading and discussing an assigned poem while enjoying a specially crafted tea blend designed to complement the verse. Whether you're a longtime poetry lover or simply curious to try something new, this is a wonderful opportunity to relax, reflect, and connect with others.
