It's National Infant Immunization Week! Keeping your baby up to date on crucial preventative vaccines will help keep them from contracting common and potentially fatal illnesses such as pertussis (whooping cough), measles, and polio.
Below is an image from the CDC's updated recommended immunizations schedule. It is a combined schedule, meaning it covers general vaccines recommended from birth to age 18 years. Not all children will need all vaccines, so it is best to consult with your child's pediatrician who know their health history, living situation, daily routine, and can recommend which vaccines to take and which ones can be delayed until school age.
For more information about routine vaccinations, talk to your child's pediatrician, their healthcare provider, or visit the CDC's website here: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/imz-schedules/child-adolescent-age.html
