Healthcare doesn't become cheaper because politicians promise it will. It becomes cheaper when we lower drug prices, keep people healthy before small problems become expensive emergencies, and keep rural hospitals open so people can get care close to home. That's what I'll work on in Congress.

At Southern Illinois Chairs Brunch, Christian Mitchell Promises “We’ll Never Stop Investing in and Supporting Southern Illinois”

DU QUOIN, IL — During the JB for Governor statewide “Fighting for You” tour, lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Christian Mitchell delivered remarks at the Southern Illinois Chairs Brunch. He was joined by Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton, Chair of the Southern Illinois Democratic County Chairs Association and 12th Congressional Committee Person Calen Campanella, and 37 democratic county chairs from Southern Illinois to celebrate their hard work and dedication to building a strong state party.

Radio silence… all the way into November?
Our campaign formally invited Congressman Mike Bost to debate the issues facing Southern Illinois. No response.

And this isn’t the first time. Bost has been invited to every town hall we’ve hosted, where constituents could ask him directly about his record. WSIU and the League of Women Voters have both offered to host debates. Still, we’re met with silence.
