Team Member Tuesday is shining a light on someone who makes our Elementary feel like home β€” Mrs. Anna Baldwin, our Elementary Secretary! πŸŽ‰
If you've dropped your kids off in the morning, Mrs. Anna is likely the smiling face that greeted them. She believes every experience is a chance to grow, and she creates a space where every student feels safe and welcome β€” no matter what they need. 🀍
We are so lucky to have you, Mrs. Anna! (And we hear the chocolate stash is always ready for a long day. 🍫)

πŸ’™ We are incredibly proud of Kailyn Burroughs, an upcoming Mt. Vernon-Enola Senior, for being selected as Arkansas’ Youth Leadership Council Delegate for 2026 through the First Electric Youth Tour program!

This prestigious honor recognizes outstanding student leaders from across the state and nation. After participating in the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, Kailyn was selected as Arkansas’ representative on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association's Youth Leadership Councilβ€”an extraordinary achievement, as only one student from Arkansas is chosen each year.

Kailyn exemplifies the Mt. Vernon-Enola core values of integrity, innovation, achievement, and family. Her selection reflects her leadership, dedication, and commitment to serving others, and we know she will represent our school, community, and state with pride.

We are excited to see the impact Kailyn will make as she joins student leaders from across the country to advocate for their communities and develop their leadership skills.

It’s Team Member Tuesday, and today we are celebrating the wonderful Mrs. Sarah Whitfield! πŸ’™

Whether she is checking in with her elementary friends during lunch or supporting students in the classroom, Mrs. Sarah is all about making an impact. She lives by the beautiful advice to always leave people and places better than you found them.

For Mrs. Sarah, the real magic happens during those light bulb moments when a student masters a skill they once struggled with. It’s those moments of pride and motivation that make her work so rewarding. πŸ’™

Fast Facts:
Future Goals: She would love to master whistling, doing a backflip on the trampoline, and playing classical guitar. 🎸

Fun Fact: As a kid, she dreamed of being a paleontologist thanks to her love for dinosaurs and the movie The Land Before Time! πŸ¦–

We are so lucky to have her on our team, ensuring every student and coworker feels encouraged and cared for. πŸ’™

As Lacie Thomas begins her retirement, we want to take a moment to honor her years of dedicated service to the Mt. Vernon-Enola School District and the countless students whose lives she has touched along the way.

Throughout her career, Lacie embodied the values that make MVE special. She helped create the family atmosphere that defines our district, always putting students first and supporting those around her with kindness, encouragement, and a servant's heart. Her commitment to student achievement and her dedication to our school community have left a lasting impact on generations of Warhawks.

Lacie's influence extends far beyond the classroom and school walls. Through her unwavering support of students and colleagues, she helped strengthen the culture of integrity, achievement, innovation, and family that we strive to cultivate each day at Mt. Vernon-Enola.

We are grateful for the many years she invested in our district and for the positive difference she made in the lives of students, staff, and families. Her legacy will continue to be felt through the relationships she built, the lives she influenced, and the example she set for others.

Thank you, Lacie, for your dedication, your compassion, and your faithful service to Mt. Vernon-Enola Schools. You will always be a valued part of the Warhawk family. πŸ’™πŸ€
