First Day & Pick Up

Good Evening West Families,What a First Day it was!Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we navigated a new traffic pattern, new drop off and pick up procedures and a water main break! Today was a true example of what it means to come together for our students.

A huge THANK YOU to the Mount Vernon Fire Department, Mount Vernon Water Works, our school administration, maintenance crew, and Mrs. Wilson for jumping into action so quickly today.

From the moment the water issue arose, everyone’s number one priority was keeping our students safely in school while working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible and that’s exactly what happened.

We are incredibly grateful for the teamwork, dedication, and countless hours that went into making sure our students and staff were taken care of. It truly takes a village, and today our community showed up in a big way.

Thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this happen. We are proud to be part of such an amazing community! ❤️💙
