C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library District Originally a Carnegie Library that became a District Library, serving three townships comprising Mt. Vernon, Illinois, in 1989.

In 2003 the District expanded to include 15 of the 16 townships in Jefferson County, IL. How To Get A Library Card

For Jefferson County Residents (No Fee)*
You must have the following:
-A picture ID (State or Government Issued)
-Two (2) items with your Name and Current Address [IL ID, Checkbook, Mail, etc.]

If you are under 18 years old and do not have a driver's license, you must have your pare

nt or legal guardian with you to get a library card. They must provide the above information. Illinois Resident outside of Jefferson County:
$100.00 fee per year

*Grand Prairie Township residents are in the Centralia Library district and get their card at Centralia.

There are nine new bestsellers, nine new movies, one new audiobook, one new music CD, 28 new children's books, and 41 other new books.

The new bestsellers this week include "Delusional," "The Unknown," and "Etna." The new movies this week include "Project Hail Mary," "Epic: Elvis Presley in Concert," and "The Devil Wears Prada 2."
