We would like to thank everyone for their support last night at the Service Committee meeting. They voted for the 911 contract to be presented to the Jefferson County Board this Monday, March 22nd at 7pm at the court house. Please come and show your support for Litton Ambulance. This will potentially affect you, your family, or friends. The community of Jefferson County has shown us so much support and we are humbled and enternally grateful!

Jefferson County Board meeting time has been changed to 730pm tomorrow 3/18/2021. The location is still in the basement of the court house. I will update you if there are any other changing between now and then. Please come and show your support for Litton Ambulance Service!

Litton Ambulance Service would like to request a show of support from the community at the
Commission Board meeting on 3/18/2021. We will be meeting at the courthouse at 6:15pm. This
meeting will be discussing the proposition to alter the 911 contract, that Litton Ambulance Service has
had with Jefferson County since the first contract was ever made.
The biggest differences between the two ambulance services are as follows:
- Litton Ambulance Service has been dedicated and loyal to serving Jefferson County for over 54
years.
- United Medical Response has been in business for 2 to 2.5 years and they are in multiple areas.
- Litton Ambulance Service has a baserate of $700.00 for ALS Emergency transport
- United Medical Response has a baserate of $2,010.16 for an ALS Emergency transport
The rates are clearly listed on Medicare’s website at Data.CMS .gov so that you can fact check
these charges. You will require each companies NPI to see the charges: Litton Ambulance Service NPI:
1487707758, United Medical Response NPI: 1942784509. The rates are based off of 2018 as Medicare
has not updated the rates. This is the year that they started up their business. Litton Ambulance Service
has not increased their rates in years.
Litton Ambulance Service would appreciate your support in showing the County Board that the residents
of Jefferson County want to continue partnering with Litton Ambulance Service, as this is our home, our
community, and Jefferson County is our family, friends, and neighbors. Thank you for your time.

This morning we sent resources to assist as part of AMR’s response to a FEMA request to provide ambulances and emergency medical services personnel to the greater New York area. The crews will be working under the guidance of FEMA, state and local EMS agencies to provide emergency and non-emergency patient services.
Please keep our crews and all effected in your thoughts and prayers.

Never forget the fallen. This was a tragic day for America! So many good people were lost this day; the innocent and trying to save others. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to everyone involved. We will never forget! Prayers for everyone in EMS, Police, and Fire to stay safe. God Bless America!
