MVJHS Arrival & Dismissal Procedures | 2026-2027 School Year

As we prepare for the first day of school, please review the following arrival and dismissal procedures. Your cooperation helps us provide a safe and efficient experience for all students, staff, and families.

Morning Drop-Off

* Thursday & Friday (August 6-7): Students may be dropped off at Door 1 or Door 2.
* Beginning Monday: Door 1 will be the only student drop-off location for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.

Afternoon Pick-Up

* Student pick-up will take place only in the North Parking Lot.
* Students will exit through Door 21 and use the designated crosswalk to reach the parking lot.
* Please do not park or pick up students in the bus lane or other areas around the building.
* Traffic cones will be in place to guide vehicles through the designated traffic pattern.

Walkers

* Walkers may exit through Door 1 or Door 2, but must walk around the south side of the building.

Traffic & Safety
Our afternoon bus pattern has changed slightly this year. To help ensure a safe and smooth dismissal, MVJHS staff members and officials will be stationed around the building to assist with traffic flow. Please follow their directions as you enter and exit campus.

Reminder for MVJHS Families

The MVJHS building will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5, as our staff prepares for an amazing new school year. If you need to schedule an appointment, please contact the MVJHS Main Office.

We can’t wait to welcome our Bobcats back! 🐾 The first day of school is Thursday, August 6, and the building will open at 7:15 a.m.

Reminder! Schedule and locker release begins today at 8 AM. Please park in the north parking lot near the soccer fields and enter through door 1 at the main entrance.

• 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Closed for Lunch: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Please note: Classrooms will be closed during Schedule & Locker Release as staff are preparing for the upcoming school year.

Students and families are invited to stop by to:
• Pick up class schedules
• Get locker assignments and combinations
• Walk the building and locate classrooms
• Ask any last-minute questions before the first day of school

Unable to attend?
Class schedules and locker assignments will also be available in Skyward beginning August 3 & 4, so you can access them from home if you’re unable to stop by.
