The YEAC had the opportunity to visit the iconic New-York Historical Society, the very first museum in New York City. We explored the Women’s History Tour, learning about the powerful women whose stories, leadership, and impact helped shape history. An inspiring day of education, reflection, and empowerment for our youth leaders 🙏🏽🏛️.

Say It With Your Chest: Speak for Your Earth (Sustainability Campaign)
We didn’t just celebrate; we made a statement. From Earth Day giveaways and vibrant stations to face painting, arts & crafts, and coloring, the energy was nonstop. Through powerful expressions of art, music, dance, and poetry, our youth spoke up loud and clear about protecting our planet and keeping our community clean. Bold voices. Creative action. Real impact.

Prom season is here
This past Saturday, May 2nd, we took 13 of our youth to The Sharing Shelf’s Prom Attire Event, and they showed up and showed out!
From stunning dresses to sharp suits and essential toiletries, our youth are now prom-ready and feeling confident for their big night.
Grateful for partnerships like The Sharing Shelf that continue to pour into our young people 💙

The Mount Vernon Youth Bureau’s Safe Haven After-School Program proudly hosted a Science Fair, showcasing the creativity and hard work of our amazing young participants. Families were invited to explore the projects, ask questions, and engage with students as they presented their ideas.

Projects were judged by our Program Director, Youth Bureau Executive Director, and Deputy Director, who were truly impressed by the innovation and effort on display. Great job to all who participated!
