Knox County Board of Developmental Disabilities Enhancing involvement of individuals in our community by increasing the opportunity for inclusion and respect.

AGENCY PURPOSE
Individuals with disabilities are more active in the community today than ever before. They are employees, volunteers, home owners, business owners, and consumers. The Knox County Board of Developmental Disabilities (KCBDD) facilitates a continum of services that provides the added support individuals with disabilities may need to become an active part of their community.

On Wednesday, we had the opportunity to host our annual Developmental Disabilities Acceptance Luncheon at Kenyon College. The theme this year was, "The Power of Being a Good Neighbor" -- and we were able to hear from several people that shared their stories on how they are making Knox County a wonderful place to live. Individuals working with Knox DD ages 14-25 years old can register. No experience or equipment is required- just show up with creativity and curiosity.
