Last week we were able to hang out with our friends at the Summer Sizzle event put on by the different Adult Day Programs in our county! We had a great time hanging out with Elvis, there was a dunk tank so we could dunk Sargent Myrda with the Mount Vernon Police Department, a photo booth, temporary tattoos, games, and Happy Spokes with United Way of Knox County Ohio gave out bike rides on their amazing accessible bikes! Thank you to everyone that came together to make this event a reality! To check out more photos, please check out our website: https://www.knoxdd.com/stories/2026/8/24/summer-sizzle-2026

Way to go, Cole!!!

🏆 Celebrating Cole’s Progress!

Cole is a huge sports fan who loves football, baseball and basketball. Recently, he has been working with staff at The Farm Day Center in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to strengthen his number-recognition skills - and his hard work is paying off!

At Cole’s recent ISP meeting, his dad, Mark, shared that he has seen a big improvement. For Cole, recognizing numbers means more than learning a new skill - it helps him follow the scores of his favorite games and see whether his teams are winning!

Cole also stays active through Special Olympics, participating in basketball skills, corn-hole, track and field, and more.

We are incredibly proud of Cole’s dedication and progress. His contagious laughter and excitement for life bring joy to those around him every day. Keep up the amazing work, Cole! 💙
