Mount Vernon Fire Department is kicking off a new round of firearm drawings!

- Limited tickets available for each drawing
- Each firearm will be raffled separately
- Drawings will take place once all tickets are sold
- All proceeds benefit Mount Vernon Fire Department

Be sure to review the details for each drawing, as ticket prices and the number of available tickets may vary. With a limited number of chances, some raffles may sell out quickly.

We would like to send out a special thank you to Eagle Outfitters for partnering with us and making this possible.

The funds we raise will go to help provide equipment, training, and other resources that support our volunteer firefighters.

We did not live up to the standard you deserve on Saturday, June 6th, so we’re making it right with EVERYONE! Free grandstand admission. Free pit admission. No transponder rental fees. Saturday, June 20th. Regular show payouts are posted at the top of our page.

You expect a well prepared race track and a show that’s completed in a timely manner. We are committed to providing that for you. This week we made changes to revamp our track prep crew to include people with years of experience in track prep. We hired top-level personnel in the tower to help ensure our shows run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

We heard your complaints and we know they are valid. It wasn’t bashing, it was the truth. We’re not running from it or making excuses. We didn’t start on time or even close to it. The track wasn’t suitable for racing. The show lasted till 3:30 in the morning. That’s unacceptable, but we will fix it.

Matthew and Tessa Norman believe that you showed up for us in a big way, and have all year. We let you down on this one. To make it right, they invite you to a FREE night of racing. Yeah, it’ll cost us big but you deserve it.

I-75 northbound in Rockcastle County is now clear and open. Although the road is open, I-75 and US 25 northbound remain heavily congested.
