Commissioners Court has just issued a Burn Ban for Franklin County.

🚫 All outdoor burning is prohibited while the ban is in effect.

Please help protect our community, homes, property, and local firefighters by following the burn ban and avoiding any outdoor burning.

TODAY⚠️: Severe Weather Risk for today has INCREASED⬆️from the Storm Prediction Center with the GREATEST RISK (Level 3) over the Texarkana Region and portions of Southeastern . Very grungy storms are expected today, forming around 4pm in Southeast Oklahoma and moving southeastward. Stroms may become very hail-loaded supercells with sizes up to BASEBALLS⚾️

TORNADO THREAT TODAY🌪️: An Outflow Boundary from yesterday's storms will exist across Southeastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas, and along the Red River Valley of Texas. Any storms that are able to interact today could produce a tornado worthy of an EF-2 rating. Tornado threat will peak around 5-9pm
