We're so excited to be part of this year's official Light Up Mt. Washington celebration on Friday, December 6th! ✨🎄 While you're enjoying the festivities around town, we hope you'll stop by the library to warm up🔥 and enjoy some extra activities, including a luminary craft 🕯️ and our Letters to Santa station ✉️🎅 for the kiddos. We're staying open until 8:00 PM for the occasion.

Plus, meet us in the pavilion at 7:00 PM for a special storytime! 📖🌟

The submission period opens this Sunday! Do you have your entry ready yet? 🖼️🎨🖌️

Calling artists of all ages!!!! 🎨🖌️

It's time to start planning your entry for the Mount Washington Spring Festival Art Contest. Paint, draw, carve, sculpt, embroider, or create in whatever medium or visual-arts format you choose. Size must be limited to a maximum of 16" x 20".

When your masterpiece is ready, simply drop your work off and register at Mt Washington Branch Library during the submission period that begins April 28th. The public will vote the following week for their favorite pieces in 5 age divisions: 0–5, 6–8, 9–12, 13–17, and 18+. Winners will be announced on Saturday, May 11th during the festival.

Our new Sunday hours begin today!

📢✨ BREAKING NEWS: Mt. Washington Branch Library will soon be open 7 days a week!

Starting April 14th, our Mt. Washington branch will be the second BCPL location to offer Sunday hours from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Central Library in Shepherdsville is already open on Sundays from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (including today!).
