🚨 Winter Storm Warning: Stay Prepared and Stay Safe! 🚨

Attention Bullitt County! A winter storm warning is in effect—here are key tips to help you plan ahead and stay safe during this storm:

❄️ Be Weather Aware:

Monitor local forecasts and weather apps for updates.
Keep a battery-powered weather radio on hand for emergency alerts.

🔋 Prepare for Possible Power Outages:

Ensure you have a flashlight and extra batteries.
Stock up on bottled water, non-perishable food, and essential medications.

Keep your phone fully charged and have a portable charger ready.
Fill bathtubs and containers with water in case of disruptions.

⚠️ What to Do During an Outage:

Avoid opening the fridge/freezer to preserve food.

Use candles cautiously—opt for battery-powered lights to prevent fire hazards.

Stay indoors to avoid exposure to the cold.

🚫 What NOT to Do:

DO NOT use generators or grills inside—carbon monoxide poisoning is a serious risk.

Avoid driving unless absolutely necessary. Roads may be icy and hazardous.

🚧 Impassable Road Conditions:

Expect hazardous travel conditions—snow, ice, and freezing temperatures may lead to impassable roads.

DO NOT attempt to travel on icy or snow-covered roads unless absolutely essential.

If you must travel, ensure your vehicle is equipped with snow chains and emergency supplies.
