It was a beautiful morning celebrating our 2026 6th Grade Honors Day. Thank you to our 6th Grade Graduation Chairs: Susannah Baker and Key Yeilding and to all of the fifth grade moms and volunteers that helped make today special. Todd Coder secured a sound system that worked beautifully. Lura Denson & Anne Weintraub worked their balloon magic. The weather didn’t rain on this celebration thanks to Matt Brower, Betsy Bailey, Jeremy Retherford & Anne Weintraub for working behind the scenes at 6 am to ensure dry seats for everyone. Thank you 6th Grade Chairs Aimee Reese & Katie Brower for coordinating all the fun activities this year for our 6th graders. Congratulations 6th Graders - Once A Lancer Always A Lancer!

We celebrated the MBE Lancer PTO Committee Chairs hard work last week. This entire year would not have been possible without the time and commitment these parents gave to MBE. Thank you all for making this year so special for our students and teachers.

The Teacher Appreciation team helped feed all 100+ MBE teachers last week for the End of the Year Luncheon. Thank you
to all the PTO volunteers who helped during lunch and all of the parents who covered every single classroom so these teachers could be together. Teacher Appreciation Chairs Leigh-Anne Millican and Christine Smith and the committee helped organize weekly Tuesday Teacher Treats, monthly specials, Teacher Appreciation week and two luncheons this school year. Thank you for loving our MBE teachers!

A huge THANK YOU to Coach Lindsey Haynes and Coach Karly Bergeron, to our incredible Field Day Chairs - Allyson Mouron, Cathryn Brady & Ashley Preston - and to our volunteers for making Field Day 2026 such a success! ☀️🏃‍♀️🎉 Field Day was full of Trivia, Lancer Lanes Dance Party, Inflatables, Relays, Tug of War, Kickball, and STEM projects.
From organizing events to cheering on every child, we couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks to Anne Weintraub for creating fun trivia questions. Thanks to Betsy Bailey for organizing hundreds of volunteers all year long. Thanks to Peyton Russell for keeping our countless events organized and fun all year long.
Field Day was filled with smiles, laughter, teamwork, and fun because of your dedication. Thank you for supporting our school and helping make this day so special for our students and staff!

Dan Roberts, Alabama State Representative for District 15, visited the PTO Meeting yesterday and directed a $25,000 check to MBE! Rep. Roberts spoke with our 4th grade students about their recent field trip to Montgomery. Thank you for your representation and for your support of MBE and our community.

Thank you to our incredible Kindergarten Orientation Chairs April DeMedicis and Amanda Sokol and our wonderful committee for the time, care, and energy you poured into welcoming our newest Lancers yesterday! Your thoughtful planning, warm smiles, and attention to every detail made such a meaningful first impression. We are excited for our new Lancer families to join us in August!
