Message from Dr. Dicky Barlow:
Dear Brookwood Forest Family,
This morning, the Board of Education approved my recommendation to name Nathan Pitner as the district’s next Director of Personnel. Effective July 1, Mr. Pitner will move to the Central Office to oversee all personnel and to serve the faculty and staff across the district.
“It has been one of the great blessings of my life to spend the last 15 years as part of our Family in the Forest. I’ve had the privilege of recruiting, equipping, and supporting the best imaginable collection of teachers and staff to work alongside our community to build a school where every Ranger can grow. I’m excited about the opportunity to continue this work at the district level, but like so many generations of Rangers, I’m grateful to be able to call the Forest home.” — Nathan Pitner
For the last 15 years, Nathan has worked to make Brookwood Forest the special place that it is today. Through his vision, culture building, and personal relationships, I have seen Brookwood Forest thrive as a school under his leadership.
Dr. Susan Cole has served as our Director of Personnel for the last 10 years and is retiring this summer. She has cared so diligently for our teachers and staff and has earned a well-deserved retirement after 50 total years in education. We will miss Susan and all she has contributed to our school system.
With Nathan’s departure, we will begin our search process for the next principal at Brookwood Forest Elementary. Thank you for your support of Brookwood Forest Elementary. It is and will continue to be a special place for all our Rangers.
Sincerely,
Dicky Barlow
Superintendent
