A message from Chief Bushong.

If you live outside the City of Mountain Grove, Rural Memberships are due. They are due before January 15th, if paid after January 15th there is a $10.00 late fee. If you did not receive your renewal forms you can still go to City Hall and get it taken care of or if you have any questions you may contact the Fire Department @ 417-926-4445. If you know someone or have any neighbors that are not members we encourage you to pass along the need to become a member.

There is no tax that supports the Rural fire department in the county and we rely on Memberships to fund our rural departments. If you do not live in the Mountain Grove Rural Fire Department area and live in Wright Co we encourage joining the fire departments Membership in which you reside or have property. T

Heads up everyone tomorrow we may have some severe weather. We are in the slight risk area. Main threat is hail and high wind, but they are not ryuling out the possibility of tornados. We encourage everyone to stay weather aware next couple days. As always stay safe everyone.

I need everyone’s help. This dog is missing south of Mg. She has a collar with a tag but she is very skiddish so she would be hard to catch. She never leaves home. She is very loved and missed. This video is one of our pumper trucks completing a serpentine. Everyone in the class had to do this. Some did it in this truck or the rescue truck. Eleven point brought there own tanker to drive and the Mountain Grove PD drove their on duty cars.
