Outdoor Recreation offers exciting, year-round, high-adventure programming for Gunfighters and their families. We also offer a wide range of classes such as Dutch oven cooking, the basics of gold panning, and navigation with GPS, map, and compass. Idaho provides an excellent opportunity for recreational trips ranging from white water rafting and kayaking to cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. O

DR also offers rock climbing, rappelling, rock hounding, gold panning, orienteering, snowshoeing, hiking, backpacking (beginner and advanced), and camping. Outdoor Recreation is also the home to Yellowstone Country Trailers, Strike Dam Marina, an on-base RV storage lot, MHAFB FamCamp, and our very own trap and s***t range with archery. Unfortunately we will be closing the marina tomorrow 30 May for inclement weather. The marina will resume normal hours on Sunday pending weather conditions, thank you.

We regret to inform you that all three pontoon boats and the Tahoe Ski boat called in sick this weekend and will not be available for rent at the marina.

We still have two brand new jet skis, one ski boat, two bass boats, and plenty of kayaks and standup paddle boards for you to enjoy on this memorial day weekend.

Marina season 2026 is almost here! Call ODR @ 208-828-6333 to make your reservations. There will not be anyone at the Marina to take your calls until May 22nd. (Reminder: ODR is closed Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Reservations can be made up to 90 days out)
