At MHJH we have an Academic Excellence Society. A big congratulations to our new members and members that have achieved this for a second year in a row!
The Academic Excellence Society (AES) is dedicated to recognizing and encouraging outstanding junior high students in grades 7 and 8. Being a member of the Academic Excellence Society shows that you are among the best students in your class, not just in academics but also in terms of leadership, good character, and citizenship.
To be considered for membership, a student must satisfy the following:
1. Have attended the junior high 1st -3rd quarter
2. Attained a GPA (grade point average) of 3.75 or above for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters
3. Maintained attendance as defined by the Mountain Home School District (present 90%) or more of the school days for the year
4. Leadership, good character, and citizenship qualities
5. No major discipline referrals
