TL Civitan missed the Stories by Maggie book bag project this year for the first time since it began but we are gearing up to have a successful year in 2021. If you have new or gently used books for all reading levels to help us with this project, please let us know in the comments and we will get someone to meet you to pick them up. These books go to children in self-contained classrooms in K-12th grade in Mtn. Home, Cotter, Flippin, Yellville, Norfork and Calico Rock schools for summer reading.

Books should be in new or like new condition and cannot be religious or holiday themed.

We appreciate your support. Local Scout troops- this is an excellent opportunity to participate in a community service project.

Well, it has been awhile since our last post. I hope everyone is staying safe out there. While we may not be meeting at the moment, we have at least had this important project going on. Please check out the new sign that Civitan sponsored and Roger Hill created for the Baxter Day Service Center. Thank you Roger for such a beautiful sign.

Due to the closing of Arkansas schools we will not be able to deliver our "Stories From Maggie" summer reading book bags this year. Our hearts are saddened, however we want to put the students health first. We will continue to collect books, coloring books, colors and book bags so that we can continue this project for the next school year. As always we welcome New members and as soon as we are able we will begin meeting once again. Stay safe and thank you to all who have supported us with our projects throughout the years.

If anyone like to help us with this project, please contact us and we'll let you know how you can help.
