MVWSD Preschool MVWSD Preschool is in the Mountain View Whisman School District. This account is regularly monitored. b.

Our preschool classes are currently located at Latham (on the Castro & Mistral Elementary School campus), and Theuerkauf Elementary. Users shall use the site only for its intended purpose — to share official news from and about MVWSD and its schools. Any inappropriate interaction will be promptly removed, blocked, or similarly addressed. Inappropriate interactions include, but are not limited to:
a. Content that is offensive, harmful, untrue, or likely to stir up students in a way that could lead to unsafe or illegal behavior, break school rules, or seriously disrupt the normal operation of the school or district. Content that has nothing to do with the stated purpose of the account — for example, threats, advertising or commercial messages, political posts, or anything else that is not allowed under district policies or regulations. MVWSD users are expected to communicate respectfully and courtesously and are responsible for their own posts. MVWSD is not responsible for others’ comments or interactions, and those views do not represent the district. References to commercial products or services are not endorsements. Please contact the Superintendent or PIO regarding any violations of district guidelines on the use of official district social media accounts, and please contact law enforcement, as appropriate. Facebook and Instagram encourage all users to utilize the "Report" links when they find abusive content. Please note that after three violations, users will be suspended from the account for one month. If a user receives two one-month suspensions, they will face a six-month suspension. This week, the children explored the wonders of fall with pumpkins and acorns!

Fall Exploration in PreK! 🎃

The children have really gotten into our fall unit! They’ve been enjoying exploring pumpkins and gourds, noticing their different sizes, shapes, and textures. They used a scale to weigh them and compare which ones were heavier.

Through hands-on exploration, the children are building math skills, using new vocabulary, and making discoveries about the signs of fall.

We love seeing their curiosity and excitement as they learn!

This week, Ms. Swati from CSMA showed the children how to create pumpkin scenes with markers and then added a little water magic! The ink ran and blended into beautiful abstract designs.

The children were completely engaged and loved watching their artwork transform.

Help our students be their very best by making sure they show up every day and on time!

Students who miss 10% of days (or two days a month) of school are considered chronically absent. When we reduce chronic absence we improve graduation rates, increase academic achievement and give young people the best chance at success in their adult life.

Showing up on time matters, too! Even showing up 10 minutes late every day causes students to lose a full hour of learning each week. By working together, families and schools can ensure every student has the opportunity to grow, learn and succeed!
