Although she joined our district late in the 2025-2026 school year, we want to take a moment to officially recognize Bev Craig as one of our special education paraprofessionals.

We are so thankful Bev stepped into this role and became part of the Mountain View-Birch Tree family. Over the past year, she has already made a difference by serving and supporting our students, and we are truly fortunate to have her in our district.

Please help us give Bev the warm Liberty Eagle welcome and recognition she deserves!

We are excited to welcome Hope Berry as a new 2nd grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary for the 2026-2027 school year!

Hope completed her student teaching in our district back in 2008 and shared that she loved our district during that time and hoped to return one day. We are so glad that day has come! She is returning to the Liberty Eagles with several years of teaching experience, and we are excited for the knowledge, care, and dedication she will bring to our students and staff.

Please help us welcome Hope back to Mountain View-Birch Tree!

We are excited to welcome Brad Shockley as our new Elementary Physical Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year! Brad brings several years of experience in education, from teaching to administration, and we are thankful to have him joining our team.

Brad and his family live in our community, and we are looking forward to the positive impact he will have on our students at Birch Tree Elementary and Mountain View Elementary. We know our elementary students will benefit from the energy, encouragement, and physical education opportunities he will bring to both campuses.

Please help us give Brad a warm Liberty Eagle welcome!

We are so proud of our Liberty BETA students who represented Mountain View-Birch Tree at the National BETA Convention in Nashville this past week!

Please help us congratulate these students on their outstanding results:
2nd Place – Poetry Division I: Darra Daniels
10th Place – On-Site Drawing: Ayla Castaneda
6th Place – Reimagine, Recreate, Recycle: Gavin, Kierstyn, Noah, Bella, and Ayla

A special thank you to Mercy Hospital and Sandy Phipps for sponsoring our BETA pins, and to Jeff and Vicki Willis, Crystal Hopper, Carol Aguirre, Mary Langston, Gail Wallander, Shelly Mantel, and Larry and Cherri Phipps for helping with last-minute meal donations. We are also so grateful to Mr. Daniels and Mrs. Barnes for supervising the trip, driving students to and from Nashville, and investing in our kids all week long.

Thank you to our generous community for supporting our fundraisers and helping these students compete at Nationals. We have a great group of BETA students and are already looking ahead to next year.

Pool party like a rockstar! 🎉 MVBT elementary traded in pencils for pools today and let's just say the kids were having a ball - a cannon ball.😂 Just a little break from the desks and a fantastic way to soak up the sun (and the fun)! ☀️
