Multiple apps are available that have severe weather alerts on them. All of the local news stations have apps for weather also. Don't rely on outdoor sirens as your only source for an alert. They are only meant to alert those outdoors within range of the siren.

With the incoming potential severe weather, all tornado sirens have been checked and are working. The only siren out of service is the one at Timbo, which was struck by lightning and has not been replaced.
Please stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings.
Please note that outdoor warning sirens are only to alert people who are outside. Dont rely on that as your only option!

Please avoid highway 263 between Timbo and Fox

Stone County authorities report Highway 263 South at Fox Mountain is closed due to an 18-wheeler turnover. Authorities estimate it will be closed until 3 to 4 pm today, so plan your drive accordingly.

Arkansas has only experienced "wave one" of winter weather expected to impact the state through Sunday. The "second wave" ramps up this evening. All of Arkansas remains under a Winter Storm Warning, or for a few counties in far southern Arkansas, an Ice Storm Warning.

UPDATE🌪️The NWS has confirmed that the Fifty-Six/Larkin EF-4 tornado was actually the same tornado that passed through Ravenden Springs, eventually crossing into Missouri on March 14th!

That makes this the 3rd longest tornado track in Arkansas recorded history.
