I spy a Stone County family that’s been nominated for Foster Family of the Year!

We’re so excited to officially reveal the nominees for the 2026 Foster Family of the Year Award!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit nominations and recognize the incredible families making a difference every single day. We are beyond grateful for the love, commitment, and unwavering support these families provide to children and families across our state.

Next week, we’ll announce the area winners — but today, we celebrate all of these amazing nominees!

Congratulations to each of you! Your dedication, compassion, and hard work do not go unnoticed, and we are so thankful for the difference you make.

We are so grateful for Stone County, Arkansas Sheriffs Office and Sheriff Brandon Long for consistently pouring into this community.

Our kids love them and we love that they are working to bridge the gap between law enforcement and our children.

And THANK YOU to every individual member in our community who has donated clothing, time and money to help wrap around our families!

We were able to distribute all of the goodies last night and you’ve made sure our children will wake up to an exciting Christmas morning.

Sometimes when children come into foster care, they need a safe place to go for one night while long-term placement is found. Emergency Care families are fully-licensed foster homes that answer those calls.

It was CALL Kids night!

We made puppets, played games, created fun snacks and had great fun.

And, we had a sweet lady in our community make each child a unique book mark to take home.

We love our kids and we love this community that supports our mission here.

DCFS is on the search for 2 twin sized beds to help some children in our county.

If you have twin sizes beds that have been outgrown that you’d be willing to donate, please reach out and we can help facilitate getting them to a new home!
