It is clear that the vast majority of Americans are not being served by Congress, nor the policies which have set back human and civil rights throughout the world, and threaten all people with physical and institutional violence. Perhaps a government of, by and for the people was never a reality, but legitimate governments serve their people, and those which kill, exploit, impoverish, harm people
deserve to be challenged. The Occupy Movement has risen in response to the most egregious crimes committed by Wall Street with the assistance of government. At the core of the problem are the inequities between the very rich, represented by major corporations, who have abused their power for their own enrichment and placed the burden and costs of their enterprises upon people and planet. I chose sides twenty years ago, the best outcome for the movement is for that tiny fraction of 1% to recognize their own humanity and join us. Until there is honest journalism, accountability, transparency, redirection of resources away from killing, controlling and towards healing, cooperation, truth, peace, justice, fairness, I will be working on the issues confronting the 99% to the best of my ability. I hope that this campaign inspires greater activism, participation, and more candidates to challenge the entrenched corporate incumbents; it is time for the 99% to organize and to occupy Congress!
