Independence Day Celebration ๐ŸŽ‡
What an incredible day in Stone County as we celebrated Americaโ€™s 250th Independence Day on the Court Square. It was an honor to read The Liberty Tree poem during todayโ€™s ceremony โ€” a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and conviction that shaped our nationโ€™s earliest days.
Our community showed up with pride, unity, and gratitude, and Iโ€™m thankful to have shared this moment with so many friends, families, and veterans.
A heartfelt thankโ€‘you to the Stone County Historical Society for coordinating such a meaningful celebration. Their dedication to preserving our history and bringing our community together made today truly special.
As both a City Councilwoman and your Stone County Veteran Service Officer, Iโ€™m proud to stand with a community that honors its past and celebrates the freedoms we enjoy today.
Galatians 5:1 โ€” โ€œIt is for freedom that Christ has set us free.โ€
May we cherish both our national freedom and the spiritual freedom many of us hold dear.
Happy Independence Day, Stone County! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽ†
Hereโ€™s to 250 years of America โ€” and to the community that keeps our local heritage strong.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽ† Happy Independence Day, Mountain View ๐ŸŽ‡
Today we celebrate the 250th anniversary of Americaโ€™s independence โ€” a day that reminds us of the courage, sacrifice, and hope that shaped our nation.
On July 4, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was adopted, marking the birth of a country built on the belief that people should live free. As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors, may we reflect on the blessings of that freedom and the responsibility we share to strengthen our community.
We also recognize a deeper kind of freedom many celebrate today:
Galatians 5:1 โ€” โ€œIt is for freedom that Christ has set us free.โ€
Just as our national freedom came at a great cost, spiritual freedom carries a meaning that inspires many in our community.
As fireworks light up the sky tonight, may we remember:
* The freedom we enjoy as Americans
* The unity that makes our city strong
* The values that bring us together
I wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day.
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Happy 4th of July! ๐ŸŽ†

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ A Special Moment at Our Stone County Veteranโ€™s Service Office โ€“ Honoring Our Veterans
Weโ€™re excited to share something meaningful happening in our community today. Our County Veteran Service Office received a beautiful handmade checkers board that was donated by the Middletons at Century 21 and made by Wallace Woodworks at cost for our veterans.
Two of our local veterans sat down this morning to break it in.
Seeing them relax, visit, and enjoy time together reminds us why these small acts of kindness matter so much.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support and uplift our veterans. Stone County is stronger because of you. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโค๏ธ
Also, a special thanks to:
Mike and Iva Brookes
Lee Ann @ Remax
Bill Hankins
for their donations to our office.
