This weekend, the Town of Mountain Village and the Telluride Film Festival are teaming up to open a brand new venue: The Marvin.

Located in Town Hall above the Market, The Marvin is named after Marvin the Martian, a nod to Chuck Jones (whose other namesake venue, the Chuck Jones' Cinema, is at the Telluride Conference Center). This intimate 100-seat space opens Friday evening with its first screening at 6 p.m.

Extended gondola hours: To help everyone move between venues and towns all weekend, the gondola will run later than usual. On September 3 it runs until 1 a.m. and from September 4 through September 7 it runs until 2 a.m.

After the Fest: Telluride Film Festival returns to the Telluride Conference Center September 8-11 with two screenings each night. The full schedule drops September 8.

Camp Alderwild comes to Mountain Village this Friday and Saturday (Aug 28–29) with free live electronic music at Heritage Plaza and Conference Plaza, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. both days.
