Mobile Outreach Vehicle in Mountainair, NM, Thursday, April 16, 2026!
The New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS) Mobile Outreach Vehicle will be at the Dr. Robert J. Saul Recreation Center, 109 Roosevelt Ave., Mountainair, NM 87036, on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Veterans can meet one-on-one with a Veteran Service Officer for assistance with VA and New Mexico State benefit applications. Our team will also provide guidance on healthcare, compensation, pensions, education benefits, and state programs and services available to veterans and their families.

Documents needed to verify eligibility:
• A copy of DD-214, NA 13038, NOAA Form 56-16, or PHS Form 1867
• VA Award Letter showing the percentage of disability and any other VA correspondence related to claiming benefits
• NM Driver's License, ID, voter registration card, or the most recent NM Personal Income Tax Return
• Widow/Widower copy of marriage and death certificates
This is an opportunity to ask questions, receive information, and get help claiming the benefits you have earned.

The library asked about sample ballots. Here is the answer:

We no longer upload sample ballots, for the local elections due to their being the variable of people being in or out of the municipality. Most people are aware of being in or out but they may not know what precinct they are in. It has caused some confusion when it comes to the Regular Local Election, voters can go on the nmvote.org and look up their specific sample ballot. The link is on our website, but they can also call our office and we would be happy to email or mail them a sample ballot. I hope in the future to have them on the website but we can get them a copy if they reach out to my office and we can get them one.
