🌍 Join us for our National Day of Service annual fall "green-up" on September 12, from 9-11a.m. @ Veterans Memorial Park in Mountlake Terrace.

Our Recreation and Park Advisory Commission (RPAC) and the Neighborhood Parks Improvement Subcommittee (NPIS) lead this annual fall “green-up event" where volunteers can put their gardening and landscaping skills to work! The work for volunteers involves trash pickup, light landscaping, and invasive plant removal. Meet at the Civic Campus entrance to Veterans Memorial Park, at the picnic table located between the library and police station.

*Free swim vouchers for all attendees; valid for recreational swim at Rec Pavilion. Groups of 10 or more should register in advance by calling Celina Williams @ 425-776-1811.

Every September in recognition of National Day of Service, our park commissions invite volunteers of all ages to join them for an easy park clean up event, rain or shine. The day’s mission is to transform the anniversary of 9/11 from a day of tragedy into a day of doing good, by keeping the spirit of unity and service alive through community volunteerism.

🚗 Please exercise additional care when driving around our schools and pay attention to the school zone speed limits.
🚌 Please follow the rules when it comes to school buses, too. Remember, do not pass a school bus when the red lights are flashing and the stop sign paddle is out.
You must stop to keep kids safe!

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE: The Westside Water Main Project will be closing a section of 228th St SW/ 226th Pl SW between 66th Ave W and 73rd Pl W next week. The road will be open over the weekend but will be closed next Monday-Friday (8/31-9/4).
🏠 Residents will still be able to access their homes but through access will be restricted. See road closure map for the specific location of the full closure.
