Today wasn’t a traditional Easter celebration for our club, but we are so glad we were able to give back to our community!! We missed all our Lion members but wanted to keep us all safe and continue to serve!!

Our world will be a little different this year but our community will roll with the punches. There are two different opportunities for the little ones to get a glimps of the Easter Bunny before his big night. Unfortunately there will not be opportunities for pictures but he will be waiving from a firetruck and behind the glass doors at the Lions Club. The Lions Club will have two tickets in random treat bags for our Easter baskets giveaway. The tickets will have information on how we will get your basket to you after our event. P.S. We did our best to make sure everything in the basket was cleaned and micro baned. Sorry if they smell a little "clean" :)

The bunny is ready and super excited to see everyone tomorrow!! We will begin at 11 but pass out until 12 so don’t feel like you have to hurry there! We are practicing social distancing while still trying to make our kiddos happy! Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!!

The Moweaqua Lions Club was saddened when the annual Easter Egg Hunt had to be cancelled due to the current situation plaguing our World. Instead we will be holding a drive thru at the club for the local children to drive by to get a small goodie bag and wave at the Easter Bunny. Please come by Saturday April 11 starting at 11:00. Due to Covid 19 this event and supplies are limited to our local communities.We will be abiding by the social distancing requirement so please stay in your cars. Thanks and we hope to see you there.

Dallas L. Seitz, 82, of Moweaqua, died December 3, 2019, in his home, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 200 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with a one-hour visitation prior to service time. Visitation will be 300 700 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2019, also

It is with great sadness that I must report the Moweaqua Lions Club has lost one of it's founding and charter members Mr. Dallas Seitz. Dallas was one of our biggest supporters and he will be great missed in our club and community. I personally will miss his smile and regular introduction of his "beautiful bride Nancy". My only regret is not meeting him sooner so that I could enjoy his witty comments and vast business knowledge longer. It is your turn to rest now Dallas but remember that the second Thursday of the month we could always use your spirt watching over us as we pray before dinner. Sending prayers for your family to help them thru this difficult time.
