..ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING...

The combination of dry and breezy conditions are creating elevated
fire danger across parts of south-central and southern Ohio this
afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values will be between 30 to
40 percent with wind gusts from the southwest between 15 and 20
mph.

Please adhere to any local burn laws that may be in effect for
your area.

..ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING...

The combination of dry and breezy conditions are creating elevated
fire danger across parts of south-central and southern Ohio this
afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values will be between 25 to
35 percent with wind gusts from the south between 15 and 20 mph.
Conditions improve early this afternoon as winds decrease. Similar
conditions are expected tomorrow.

Please adhere to any local burn laws that may be in effect for
your area.

***PLEASE USE CAUTION***
With winds up to 33 MPH, the snow is drifting onto the roadways. Please be sure to use extreme caution; if you are traveling at 50 MPH and you hit a snow drift, you are at risk of losing control of your vehicle. The Highland County Engineer's Office is working around the clock to clear our roadways. They are reporting portions of the county are worse with the snow drifts than they were when the storm entered the area.

Highland County remains under a Level 3 Snow Emergency..
Sheriff Sanders advises the level 3 will remain in effect until he confers with ODOT, and the Highland County Engineers Office on Monday, to see how the snow removal process is going on Highland County's Roads.

A major winter storm continues. The heaviest snowfall is expected from prior to sunrise through the morning, decreasing in coverage and intensity in the early evening. Periods of sleet and freezing rain are likely in parts of northern/northeast KY and far south-central Ohio, which may reduce snow totals in these areas.
