We had a great time meeting friends and partners at the Connect Casino Road Community Fair tonight! We even brought back and oldie but a goodie: hopscotch! The students (and a few adults including us) who played took several turns and loved it.

Thanks for hosting and for all you do for the community, Connect Casino Road!

Reading in any language increases literacy … which is why Mukilteo Schools Foundation prioritizes expanding multilingual literature options in school libraries.

Today Odyssey Elementary received a check for $2,500 to purchase more books that represent their students’ diverse languages and cultures.

Families will get their first peek at the expanded multilingual section in September.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

We know that teachers are the bridges to knowledge and skill development that students need to become lifelong learners. They also teach social emotional strategies by modeling how to regulate emotions, how to treat others, and how to care for our environment, from a student desk to classroom and school spaces and beyond. And they do so much more than what is written in their job description.

Thank you, teachers, for the important work you do each school day!

This school year, Mukilteo Schools Foundation granted over $28,000 in classroom grants to support teachers’ innovative lessons and enrichment resources for student learning. From art supplies to new technology, community donations help us say ā€œthank youā€ and encourage continued great work through these classroom grants.

Teacher Appreciation Week is here! šŸ˜€šŸŽ‰

This week, we are celebrating the people who go the extra mile, spark curiosity, and make a lasting impact every single day.

Help us spread the appreciation. Like, share to your social, tag an educator who deserves a little extra recognition, and tell us the name of a favorite teacher who made a difference in your life. 🄰🄰

What a beautiful night to promote literacy at Discovery Elementary School's Books Before Bedtime event! Students dressed in their PJs and toting stuffed animals settled in to hear books read aloud all over campus.

Mukilteo Schools Foundation Co-Vice President Elizabeth Angel read several books in Spanish and English. Board President Marcus Satterlee revisited the elementary school he attended as a child. Several of the same staff are still there!

Students and Foundation members alike were delighted by a visit by Webbly.

The Foundation was proud to be a part of the event and to promote our recent support to expand the library's multilingual section. It was wonderful to see many families looking through the new books together and finding stories in their home language.
