Membership and Why I Should Join?
The Mukwonago Police Explorers gives young men and women the hands on experience of being a law enforcement officer. It prepares you for a career as a Police Officer and gives you access to the tools of the trade. Meetings are on the first Thursday of the month from 6 pm - 8 pm. Meetings will consist of training, future events to prepare for and overall, the material is at the discretion of the Explorer member. How to join and become a member:
1) Contact Officer Kirkpatrick at 262-363-6435. If he is not available, leave a voicemail message. Please include your name, a call back number and that you are interested in joining the Explorer post.
2) Officer Kirkpatrick will get back to you within a few days. A membership form needs to be completed, as well as having permission from your parent/guardian. Once completed, a small fee of membership will be collected. As soon as these are received, a background check is done and the potential member is approved for membership.
3) Once approved, the member will receive a uniform. The Mukwonago Police Explorers post wears a dark gray uniform with shoulder patches (shown above) and a badge. (Shown below)
4) Please note, all Explorer members are expected to be respectful and obey all laws at all times. Explorer members are members of this department and will convey professionalism. They are also expected to maintain a GPA in school of 2.0 or higher.
5) Have fun! This is your post. Invite your friends to join. The larger we are, the more activities we can do. The sky really is the limit. Feel the pride of being a part of the law enforcement community.
