The Town of Mukwonago Police Department has received several complaints in the last few days about direct sellers from Aptive and Moxie pest control companies going door to door in the area. Neither company is permitted by the Town of Mukwonago to sell at this time. The complaints have also involved instances of employees using high pressure tactics and refusing to leave the resident's property when asked to do so. In one instance, the employee remained for over 20 minutes and had to be asked to leave 8 times before finally going. If you are contacted by employees of these companies, please contact our department immediately, and we will respond and address the problem. If you are subjected to high pressure tactics from any direct sellers, please contact our department immediately, and we will respond and address the problem. No resident should have to put up with this type of behavior from these individuals. Not only is it rude, it is a violation of town ordinance. You are not bothering us by calling. We have officers on duty 24/7 to address problems for our community. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors and help us put an end to these predatory selling techniques.

This weekend, we at the Town of Mukwonago Police Department, pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. As a small community, we feel the weight of their absence and the profound gratitude for their service.

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

To the fallen heroes and the families that they left behind—your sacrifice will never be forgotten. We are forever in your debt.
Have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

The scams continue to be more creative....

Mrs. Sarge got this as a text on her phone, so I thought it would be worth sharing. Please take note that there are no names, vehicles, or any other identifying information on this; any legitimate legal document would have that info and be addressed specifically to you. Just as a point of note, the statute numbers do not match the description of the violation either.

Reminder - Do not scan any QR codes or visit any websites listed on forms that don't seem right. If you are concerned because you may actually have outstanding traffic citations, please call the jurisdiction using a number that you locate for yourself. (Also, let's drive safely so we don't get traffic citations...😅)
