🔥 WILDFIRE DANGER — STATE OF EMERGENCY 🔥

Arkansas is now under a State of Emergency due to severe wildfire activity across the state.

⚠️ CRAWFORD COUNTY REMAINS UNDER A BURN BAN. ⚠️

Extremely dry fuels remain capable of supporting fast-moving and serious wildfires, even in areas that have received isolated rainfall.

Residents are strongly urged to avoid all unnecessary outdoor burning and use extreme caution with anything that could create a spark near dry grass, leaves, or vegetation.

Please be especially careful with:

🔥 Outdoor burning
⚙️ Mowers and other equipment
🔥 Welding or cutting
⛓️ Trailer chains dragging on roadways
🚬 Ci******es and smoking materials
🚗 Hot exhaust systems or vehicles parked in dry grass
✨ Anything capable of producing sparks

A small spark is all it takes to start a dangerous wildfire under these conditions.

🚫 Crawford County remains under a burn ban at this time. Please do not burn.

📞 If you see illegal burning, an unattended fire, or any fire that is out of control, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY.

Please help us protect our communities, firefighters, homes, farms, and property. One preventable fire is one too many.

The Mulberry/District 2 Fire Department would like to encourage everyone to come out and support the Mulberry Senior Center Fundraiser this Sunday, August 9th, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The Senior Center is raising money to purchase a newer route vehicle that delivers meals and essential services to our homebound senior citizens. These deliveries mean so much to those who depend on them, and this is a great opportunity for our community to give back.

They will be serving a delicious lunch and having a pie auction and also a silent auction. Please come out and support our local senior center.

It is my privilege and honor to announce the promotion of Firefighter First Class Curtis Crawford to the rank of Lieutenant with the Mulberry / Crawford County Rural Fire District #2 Fire Department.

Lieutenant Crawford has consistently demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to serving both our department and the citizens of our community. Through his hard work, leadership, and willingness to step up whenever needed, he has earned the respect of his fellow firefighters and this promotion.

Today, Mulberry Fire Department took Engine 1 out to Marvin Elementary to help keep the kids with the Boys & Girls Club cool and have some summer fun. We sprayed a stream up into the air so the kids could play in the water and enjoy a little relief from the heat. It was a great day of community, smiles, and cool memories!

🚒 YEARLY FIRE DUES ARE NOW DUE 🚒

The Mulberry / Crawford County Rural Fire District #2 Volunteer Fire Department is reminding residents that annual fire dues are just $100 per year and are due each June.

Please note: Fire dues apply to residents who live outside the Mulberry city limits and within the Crawford County Rural Fire District #2.

Your annual dues help us continue providing emergency fire protection by helping pay for:
🔥 Firefighting equipment
⛽ Fuel
🚒 Fire truck repairs and maintenance
🧯 Other day-to-day operating expenses

These dues are essential to keeping our volunteer fire department ready to respond when you need us most.

⚠️ If your fire dues are not paid and we respond to a fire on your property, you may be responsible for the costs associated with that response. Those costs could amount to thousands of dollars.

For only $100 per year, you can help support your local volunteer firefighters while ensuring your property is covered.
