A Red Flag Warning is in effect today for most locations on the Caprock from noon to 6pm CST. Record daily high temperatures are expected (mid/upper 80s) with breezy afternoon winds.

The has been expanded to include most of the Rolling Plains. This will be in effect from 2-8PM today for westerly winds 25-35mph w/ gusts to 45. Secure those outdoor items now.

Temperatures will start to rebound across the region on Thursday as high temperatures climb back into the 80s and 90s. Winds will also become southwesterly tomorrow and may become slightly breezy by the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.
