Please join Dr. Friederike Baer, professor of history at Pennsylvania State University, as she discusses her book "Hessians: German Soldiers in the American Revolutionary War" at Mullica Hill Library on June 25th. Her research focuses on the experiences of German-speaking people during the Revolution.

This program was funded in part by a grant from the New Jersey State Library’s REV 250: Examining the Semiquincentennial through a Jersey lens - an opportunity for public libraries to celebrate New Jersey’s contributions and place in history.

As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, join local historian Jim Segrave-Daly at the Greenwich Branch Library for a lively discussion of a pivotal period during the Revolution on July 25th. General George Washington led the Continental Army to stunning victories in late December 1776 & early January 1777. Beginning with the reading of Thomas Paine's The American Crisis on Christmas Eve, Washington inspired his troops & the nation when it was needed most. Please register.
