The Gloucester County Office of Mental Health, Gloucester County Library System, and the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners are hosting a special training session for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for Adults. The training is free and attendees will receive MHFA certification when they’ve completed. Attendees will learn how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

This full day training will be held on June 8th or June 17th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Mullica Hill Branch of GCLS. Registration is required to attend, no walk-ins will be permitted.

On June 11th at the Mullica Hill Library, join Nick Appice as he presents the history of the Old Stone House Village in Washington Twp. Nick will cover the history of the famous house on Egg Harbor Road, its historical significance, and its preservation.

Ideal for patios, balconies, porches, or sunny windowsills, this workshop will cover the essential supplies needed to get started, including selecting appropriate containers, soil, and plants or herbs that thrive in pots. Participants will learn practical tips for watering, sunlight, and seasonal care to help their gardens succeed. Supplies will be provided so that attendees have the opportunity to put this learning into practice - potting their own plant during the session to take home and add to their growing container garden. Whether you are just beginning or looking to expand your skills, this class will help you grow with confidence.
