And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.” (Final line of Declaration of Independence) All the signers lives out that commitment with several dying for the Revolution, pursued by the British,tortured, and put to death, others loosing all and dying in poverty, loosing families and homes. Freedom is expensive.
