FEMA MOBILE REGISTRATION CENTER COMING TO DELAWARE COUNTY

FEMA representatives will be in Delaware County this Friday and Saturday to operate a Mobile Registration Intake Center (MRIC) for residents impacted by the recent flooding.

The center will provide in-person assistance with applying for FEMA federal disaster assistance. FEMA representatives can answer questions, help residents complete the registration process, and assist those who want to make sure they applied correctly.

This resource is available to all Delaware County residents and flood victims countywide who were impacted by the recent disaster.

The Mobile Registration Intake Center is especially helpful for residents who:

* Need help completing the application process
* Have questions about FEMA disaster assistance
* Have already applied but want to make sure their registration was completed correctly

Traffic Advisory: SR-32 Road Work Near Nebo Road

Drivers should expect traffic delays on SR-32 west of Nebo Road as road work associated with The Michelle development gets underway.

Utility locates are expected to be completed by April 30, with traffic control set up on Friday, May 1. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, May 4 and is anticipated to continue for approximately two weeks, with work expected to wrap up around May 15.

During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction using the outside lanes, as shown in the traffic control plan.

Please plan for additional travel time when using this corridor.

Updates will be shared if the schedule changes.

🚧 Road Closure Notice – East McGalliard Rd 🚧

Construction update! MSD Engineering will be closing the westbound lanes of East McGalliard Road starting Wednesday, May 6th for stormwater improvement work near Dalinda. The roadway is expected to reopen by Friday, May 8th.

During this time, the detour route will be from the bypass to the SR 67 exit, back south to McGalliard.

INDOT will host a public hearing for a proposed intersection improvement project at S.R. 3 and Eaton-Wheeling Pike on Wednesday, May 6.

The meeting will be held at Eaton Elementary School (200 N. East Union St.). Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6, followed by public comment.

🚧 Road Construction Notice 🚧

New road construction and intersection improvements are scheduled to begin on or after April 27 in the Park One area near SR 332/I-69 Exit 241 and North Executive Park Drive.

Motorists should also be aware that lane restrictions on SR 332 are expected to begin on or after June 1.

Please use caution when traveling through the area, watch for signage and crews, and allow extra time for your commute. Updates will be shared as the project progresses.

On or after Monday, April 6, State Road 28 will close between State Road 9 and I-69 for culvert replacements and road resurfacing in Madison and Delaware counties. The road is expected to be closed through mid-May.

What's happening at the High Street Bridge?

N. High Street from Franklin to Gilbert closed 3/23/26 with expected reopening by 4/27/26 for replacement and repair of the Sanitary and Storm sewer as part of Muncie Sanitary Districts combined sewer overflow long term control plan.

The intersection will remain open for traffic to utilize Wysor and Franklin. Detour signage and appropriate street signs are installed.
