🚧 Road Closure Notice – East McGalliard Rd 🚧

Construction update! MSD Engineering will be closing the westbound lanes of East McGalliard Road starting Wednesday, May 6th for stormwater improvement work near Dalinda. The roadway is expected to reopen by Friday, May 8th.

During this time, the detour route will be from the bypass to the SR 67 exit, back south to McGalliard.

We appreciate your patience as these improvements are completed!

Reminder: During the week of April 27, Hackley will be closed at Memorial.
There will also be lane restrictions from Monroe to Vine on the eastbound lanes of Memorial.

Immediately following Phase 1, East Memorial is closed from Madison to Hackley.

Grab your gloves and join a neighborhood cleanup! Here’s a list of Saturday’s in May that will be hosting cleanups with meeting times and locations.

🧹Thomas Park/Avondale - Ross Community Center, 1110 W. 10th St. @ 7:45 a.m.

🧹Industry - Heekin Park Shelter, corner of 9th and Penn @ 8:00 a.m.

🧹South Central - South Central Community garden, 228 E. 7th St. @ 7:45 a.m.

🗓️ May 9th, 2026:

🧹Riverside/Normal City - Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 900 W. White River Blvd @ 7:45 a.m.

🧹Morningside McCormick - Morningside Park, 2100 E. Cornell Ave. @ 7:30 a.m.

🧹McKinley - Destiny Christian Academy, 700 N. Jefferson St. @ 8:00 a.m.

🧹Old West End - Clifton Wallace Park, 509 W. Charles St. @ 7:50 a.m.

🗓️ May 16th, 2026:

🧹Whitely - Buley Center, 1111 N. Penn St. @ 7:30 (breakfast) & 8:00 a.m. start

🧹Southside - Frankie D’s Flea Market, 1827 E. Memorial Dr. @ 7:45 a.m.

Reminder: Starting Monday, April 20th, East Memorial from Hackley to Penn is closed.
Weather pending, crews hope to have this section opened back up Thursday morning.

🚧 East Memorial Drive Construction Notice 🚧

Phase 1 – Starting Monday, April 20th
MSD will close East Memorial from Hackley to Penn. Weather pending, crews hope to have this section opened back up Thursday morning (4/23).

Phase 2 – Immediately following Phase 1
East Memorial will be closed from Madison to Hackley. Crews hope to have traffic open with lane restrictions by the weekend.

Phase 3 – Week of April 27
Hackley will be closed at Memorial, with lane restrictions from Monroe to Vine on the eastbound lanes of Memorial.

🚧 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE 🚧

MSD Engineering will begin stormwater repairs on East Memorial Drive, between Madison Street and Macedonia Avenue, starting April 20, 2026.

Please be aware that road closures will occur, as crews will need to dig across Memorial Drive. The work is expected to last approximately one week, weather permitting.

More specific traffic details will be shared later this week. Thank you for your patience as we complete these necessary improvements.
