We're the Delaware County Democratic Party, and we've been a local political organization here in Muncie, IN, since 1960. We started our organization to provide our community with a link between the people and the democratic party. We're looking forward to growing our organization to continue to serve Muncie and the surrounding areas. We'd like to personally invite you to contact us today to learn about community events, election functions, and day-to-day county level operations.

Great news! My race for the Indiana House was given a Target Race designation today by the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee - DLCC, the only organization responsible for the national strategy to elect Democrats to legislatures across all 50 states.

That means they believe in our campaign and know that winning in this district is critical to Democrats building power and picking up seats in the chamber.

As chaos unfolds in Washington, working families need the support of their state legislators more than ever. Public education, economic opportunity, workers’ rights, and access to the ballot are on the line. With your help and support, I’ll fight for our values in the Indiana House.

Wednesday I went canvassing with Michael Durall, who is running for Delaware County Council, District 4. We believe in earning your vote and showing up for you.

We know you're tired of feeling like you're just choosing against a less appealing candidate. Hoosiers like you don't want the better of two bad choices, you're craving candidates to vote FOR.

Michael and I are dedicated to showing up for you, listening to your concerns and doing what we can to help you feel not just heard, but understood.

A common concern we heard regarded the increase in property tax assessments. People are tired of feeling like they aren't seeing results for the taxes they pay.

There's no denying tough choices will need to be made in coming years, but Michael makes informed choices that are in Delaware County's best interests. He's for making responsible investments and sound choices with your tax dollars.

As Delaware County's next Clerk, I will do all that I can to make sure your voice is heard and get free and fair and secure elections to choose those you think would serve you best. Regardless of party, you have Rights and I want to protect them while also finding ways to improve service through better engagement and delivering smart solutions.

If elected officials aren't constantly trying to improve service, then they are doing a disservice to Delaware County.

Delaware County Republican commissioners are proposing a tax increase which, if passed, will go into effect in 2027 and increase in 2028 and remain unless reduced or dissolved (a rarity in the books of records on taxation). The proposed tax increase will establish a yet to be fully explained “Cumulative Capital Development Fund”.

In light of the Indiana State Republican supermajority legislature’s property tax reform act (SEA-1), which is draconian in its impact on public education and municipalities, like Delaware County and the City of Muncie, and others, more proposals to the public like this are in inevitable without repairs or repeal of SEA-1.

It’s a shell game created and imposed by Republican state lawmakers, which include Scott Alexander, Elizabeth Rowray and JD Prescott, among others, to shift responsibility of taxation in lieu of taking the time and effort to convene, plan and create a more fair and measured approach to how our tax dollars should and can be used to produce favorable results for Indiana communities and it’s people.

Be informed! Participate and be heard.
