Centennial Park Photos
One of the iconic spots in our community is Centennial Park across the street from Munday Elementary School. These recent photos illustrate the hard work and dedication of countless volunteers who mow, plant, w**d and water flowers, edge and clean up. Keep Munday Beautiful would like to ask you to help us by donating your time and/or money. All of the work and upkeep, the flowers and plants are paid for by KMB or by volunteers. Please show your appreciation for the upkeep of these beautiful spaces by making a donation to Keep Munday Beautiful at First Bank Texas Munday. Or you can drop off your donation to our Treasurer, Perry Kuehler at Bud's For You. Let's work together to Keep Munday Beautiful.
There are countless volunteers and some will be left out but please thank Steven Smith, Perry Kuehler, Jeannette Reeves, Sandy King, Cindy Thompson, Chris and Melissa Baker, Harve Hendrix and Bill Longan.

It's amazing what dedicated volunteers can do to make our community more beautiful The first picture is Centennial Park. It was dedicated on 6-6-2006 at 6 pm at Munday's Centennial celebration. The time and date commemorated the arrival of the first train in Munday at exactly that time and date 100 years before. Centennial Park and all the sculptures are funded 100% by volunteers at no cost to the City. Winning the Governor's Community Achievement Award twice also went a long way in funding both Centennial and Baker Park.

Keep Munday Beautiful is a 501c3 non profit established to beautify and promote our community. Your donation is tax exempt and much needed. We rely 100% on public donations and memorial gifts. For those who don't know what we do, here are some of our activities. We installed and maintain all the decorative lamp posts thoughout the city. We mow dozens of yards and parks, spray for w**ds, trim and clean them. Expenses include fuel and maintenance and paying someone to mow. We created, built, and maintain Centennial Park across from Elementary school. Baker Park across from Dollar General. We also are working to turn the Rock Church on main street into a community theatre. We invite you to join and / or support us in these efforts. Donations can be made to Keep Munday Beautiful, First Bank Texas, or may be dropped off at Buds For you. Let's Keep Munday Beautiful!

Volunteers Needed!! Keep Munday Beautiful and The Munday HOCO Committee are asking for your help next Saturday, Aug 27th. The city will have 4 roll-off dumpsters at JD Wreckers starting at 8am. Please take advantage of this opportunity to clear any large scale trash or junk items from your property. Then bring your lawn equipment (rakes, hoes, w**deaters, mowers, etc) and join us in the Downtown Park. We will be cleaning up the various properties along Main Street as well as planting flowers/greenery.
